Default homade exhaust question

So instead of spending 60some bucks on a piece of pipe to replace my cat, I was lookin at using flex pipe.With clamps and shipping itd be 28$. The semitruck parts store id be buyin it through sells it in stainless or galvanized. How well would this work and which should i buy?

Go on and spend the 60 bucks!!!! i had the flex pipe on mine and it only lasted 40,000 miles before falling completly off just two days ago

when i bought my stack kit the guy just gave me a 3foot piece of 4in for free

I did the flex pipe (Stainless) with the band clamps, been on over 60K on the road and not even a rust spot to speak of

I went ahead and had everything cut and a four inch pipe in its place. It might be more expensive but I think it its worth the extra $30.

Flex pipe wil fall apart about 10 times faster than aluminized. I myself will never do stainless as it is more expensive, plus harder. Harder is more prone to breaking under vibration. My $0.02
