Default STOCK INTAKE MANIFOLD OR AFTERMARKET ARE GAINS REAL??

FOR YOUR MONEY SHOULD YOU PUT A AFTERMARKET INTAKE MANIFOLD WITH STOCK TURBO? IF SO WITCH BRAND IS THE BEST VALUE AND WHAT ARE THE REAL GAINS WILL IT HELP WITH MPG?

You will get a slight gain from an aftermarket intake manifold on your CR Cummins. I like the AFE or ATS.

Ive read in a magazine that the Cummins stock manifolds aren't airflow friendly! They are partially cast as part of the head itself from what i read.

Luke whats the cost on one of those Mannies?

The S&B is one of the least expensive

I also have these.... they will help the air flow to those cylinders 1,5 &6 that are farther away from the air inlet

That one is for 3rd gen. I have them for 2nd gen too. should improve spool up about 100RPM and decrease smoke and exhaust temps near 100 degrees (especially in cyl 1, 5 & 6)
