2 stroke for me...... 1 quart for every 25-30 gal. Quiets the engine and gets me 1-2 mpg in every tank. I'm a believer!!!

Howes Meaner Cleaner or Power Service for me usually...both seem to work well

a full bottle of either Diesel power cetaine additive or Amsoil cetaine booster and 16oz's of Marvel Mystery Oil to a full tank has done the trick for me.

OK, here's my findings...

I ran Lucas and PS in my 99 with good results, but that was with LSD. Lucas consistantly gave the best mileage.

I ran PS until I was told that adding too much cetane would be bad since I was running a RockTeck Sensor...so I dropped PS and started running Howes. I have over 100k on nothing but Howes (in every tank) on my 04.5...until recently. This winter was my first with marked ULSD, and even "winterized" ULSD and Howes gave me fuel gelling issues at about 5*F.

I started running CRC which didn't really do much for performance, but it solved my fuel gelling issues.

I recently started running PS (the gray bottle) and I notice an immediately smoother running truck and I got 23 mpg out of the last tank and 19mpg out of this tank. Which, while it might not sound like much, is running a 2500/4wd/600CTD/NV5600/4.10 combo in 25% city/75% highway on the first tank and 50% city/50% highway on the second. I can live with that.

I ran a little MMO, but I have been dipped so many time running crosscountry (I must look guilty???) that I didn't want to take the chance it might give a red tint.
