I saw in one of the diesel magazines that the guy from ATS had an air to water intercooler I guess you could give them a call.

Air to water intercoolers are small boxy units; the genuine Cummins ones actually mount on top of the engine and require different injector lines. (At least the ones they made for the older engines do.) There are aftermarket universal ones that can be plumbed in anywhere along the air intake, though.

The primary advantage is that they are a more compact unit, they don't leak as much boost, the reservoir can be filled full of ice in a quarter-mile or 300 ft situation and the radiator can be mounted as far from the engine as you want it.

The downside is that the system is more complex; it requires a pump to circulate water through a radiator. And it won't pull heat out of the intake air any faster than a standard intercooler, and if the radiator you are using is smaller than the intercooler you started out with then you'll see a rise in temperatures after a while.
