Default EGT gauge problems

My EGT gauge is stuck and has never moved since i bought my truck...just wondering if there is anything i can do besides unplugging everything to see what wrong? really dont wanna go buy a new gauge for nothing...thanks in advance

maybe a loose/disconnected thermocouple wire, check for voltage and ground at the gauge. What kind of gauge is it?

make sure the wires from the thermocouple are not touching or grounding out..if not it may be the amplifier box
