Default isspro boost install

just got a isspro 3 gauge get from thouroughbred and i looked at the diesel manor boost install and took out the bolt, well the boost bolt from isspro is to big to screw in. no one around here sells boost bolts any smaller where else can i install the boost bolt? besides tapping into the intake manifold because no one around here sells taps for pipeing either.

where are you trying to install the boost bolt? in the intake was the kit not for the CTD? most parts stores should have a tap would be either a 1/8" pipe or 1/4" pipe tap.

did you get the other gauges installed ?

took the bolt that was by the map sensor out. but the bolt i took out is smaller than the boost bolt which is 1/8th i think?. i was then going to install it in the intake manifold but no one sells 1/8th tap unless you buy a 30 dollor kit.

also i dont think my tranny wire is going to reach to the tranny bolt. and where do you guys install the 2 boxes?

Well you were in the right spot for the boost bolt. You will prob just have to call who you got the gauges from and tell em the prob and hopefully the will ship you the right one out asap.

I only had one box that was for the pyrometer and mounted it under the dash under the steering wheel.

Sounds to me like you didn't get a boost bolt. A boost bolt will be an 8mm threaded bolt with a hole through it that opens up to an 1/8"NPT on top. Sounds like you just got the NPT piece. Either order a boost bolt or pull the intake manifold and drill and tap it for 1/8" NPT. Ace hardware, anything like that will have the proper tap.

Did you actually get a tapped bolt or are you trying to thread the sending unit into the bolt hole?

Which gauges?
