Default Battery Quick Disconnect

All,

Recently my truck has decided to throw a few battery codes. The first one it threw was the power down data loss code. After less than ten keystarts this code cleared and it promptly threw the battery temperature sensor code. After ten keystarts that code cleared as well (cleared Friday evening), and it promptly threw it again sunday morning. I'm pretty sure if I go out right now and pull the battery cables and leave the key turned on for 45 minutes that all will be well for a couple months again.

My question is has anyone installed a set of battery quick disconnects on their truck? The kind like you would put on a tractor to keep the battery from going dead. That way I could do a hard reset on the computer without screwing with pulling the battery cables off. I think I could get a set of the kind you just turn the **** to unhook the battery and install one on each ground. Sound like a good or bad idea?

Nest question is what is the deal with my batteries? The only modifications that the truck has are a K&N intake and MBRP exhaust, neither of which should be causing this problem?? Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
