Well I am having a small issue with my setup I have searched and can't seem to find a similar problem. My Edge keeps resetting every time I shut the truck down. The user agreement pops up every time now and gives me the" you have 4 warnings left" then it will count down and restart all over again. My warnings reset and my display setting go back to the stock one. I think it may be a short but just want to know has anyone else heard of this and maybe a fix thank you and you all have a great night

 

check your constant power conection...sounds like you might have a loose wire.

When me and my bro installed his on his 02 (i know people its a different year) IIRC there is a constant power from the battery and then a ACC power that runs with a fuse and just powers the wire when the truck is running??

 

Yep, there is a constant power wire and an acc wire. Make sure the constant power is tied to the positive on the battery and the acc to a keyed on fuse.

 

According to the installation instructions there is only one power wire. It runs off a 15 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood. I just went under the hood and checked all the connections I turned to key on and off several times after resetting my parameters and it seems to be holding my settings. I will check it again in the morning.

I am not sure what the issue was but it isn't doing it any more. Wish me luck it doesn't do it again.

 

Maybe use a test light to make sure that the fuse tap is on the hot side of the fuse socket.

 

You have to put it on the side closet to fender and firewall. it is #50 i believe.
