Default Anyone using the Wilson Thrasher Intake?

If so was it worth it? What do you like or dislike please list all comments, I am looking at Banks also.
Here is the link http://www.wilsonmanifolds.com/shop/...t_detail&p=117 Wilson Manifolds is by far the leader in Drag Racing and doesn't really have one "bad" product out there, have they found something that the others havn't by using the long plate w/the intake ??

Personally I dont feel the minor hp gains from a new manifold arent worth the $500 price tag. That money could be better spent else where.

, The new thrasher manifold is leaps and bounds from anything ever designed for the 5.9L. Any wilson manifold is an extremely well researched product. True, it wont ever make a huge increase BUT it is nice if you wanting to put in some bungs for water or nitrous. Great product with great product support! Sold 5 of them so far!

I talked with Wilson and they removed the heating element in the new plate so if you are in a cold climate it will not work well (like me) they are working with Cummins as I type to rplace the element into a different area of the new plate.

without the heating element just giv'er a shot of ether
theres a guy on youtube doing a coldstart(no ether) with the gridheater removed, it starts, but it runs rough for a bit.

I work for the road dept. here in town and when we get snow and they call us out I have to haul to the garage fast, thats the only thing I am worried about. I don't have time to screw with it. I wish they would hurry up and find a solution.

I live in upstate NY, Temps get down to 0 some times. I bought a spare
heating element and gutted it. I run it all year, I have never had a problem
starting in winter. All it does is show a low voltage code. I clear it in the spring.
