Default 48RE torque converter opinion

I recently purchased a torque converter for the rebuild I am going to do on my 48RE. All parts are new including the torque converter but befor I install it I wanted to get some opinion on it. It is a triple disc billet converter made by Midwest Racing Converter in Illinois, stock stall speed too. Looks like a quality piece but wanted input on this thing before I install it this week or maybe next week. Thanks!

MIdwest has been making converters for a long time. If it's rated to hold your truck, it'll hold.

You are getting it with a stock stall speed? Why?

At least you didn't get an ATS 5 clutch.

Well the reason i got a stock stall speed is because I like the way my truck ran. I do not tow heavy and it seemed happy the way it was. I guess the one i got is 200 rpm lower than stock after I talked to the builders. What comes apart on a low quality billet converter? If its just clutch failure then I will have a 3 year warranty for them to fix it for me....

3yr warranty is fine but if its a poor built converter how many times do you want to have to remove it and send it to them to fix while your truck is down? Alot of places that can build a high hp race car converter think this same design will work on a High TQ Diesel engine. I hope it works out great for you I just don't to see you burn up your transmission in the process of running a cheap converter.
