Default Air Manifold Elbow

What is everyones opinion on an aftermarket air intake manifold elbow? I am looking at the S&B that is drilled and tapped for $250, compared to say a AFE or CFM+ for $350+. Is there much of a size difference between any of the aftermarket ones when you put them side by side?

The s&b intake is not metal and I don't remember how much boost it's rated for. you can get some decent home made ones for under 200 I have seen around here ebay and stuff

from what I was told is the 3rd gens really benefit from the intake horn due to bolt restriction in the stocker.

I installed a homemade style on mine, there is a difference in Turbo spooling a little quicker, EGTs down about 50 deg and seems a little more power with less boost...

I switched to a similar one above, with 4 ports, boost gauge, water meth controler, two water meth nozzles...... biggest reason for me changing was the ease of the intake coming with the ports and not having to drill tap my own.

I put a 2nd gen intake elbow on my 06 did not i have noticed about 20 deg. cooler on my egt. Turbo seems to spool a little faster. and was a total of $27.00 on ebay. Had to by new gaskest from Cumming $3.88 each, and two of the longer 2 gen bolts $4.50 each a local hardwear store.
