Any one get the scout yet? I had the commander in my old truck and liked it except the buttons were touchy.

Hey Rob why don't you just wait and get the Adrenaline with Pulse for your truck?

Hadnt really looked in to the adrenaline, was just looking to get a monitor right now. I had planned on upgrading my trans before any real power upgrades learned that on the last two trucks.

i have the scout in my truck now just installed today easy as pie to install but i will admit the pillar mount was a bitch to put on i love the way it looks because i hate the looks of the individual gauges makes a truck look like a honda but any way easy to install easy to set up just wish they had the turbo timer kit for it already but with time it will be there

and it looks like i was the test pig because i see no write ups at all on the scout

I put one in my 06 last week after getting it after a 3 week backorder. I have much the same to say, install was cake. However for the 06+ dash I did have to cut the A pillar mount a little bit to fit the more blocky contour. More material was better than less I suppose and it didn't take but 10-15 minutes with tin snips, razor blade and some 400 grit sand paper.

I got the pyrometer kit as well and it's the same story as any other pyro kit I'm assuming so not a lot to say there. It is just plug and play though, the Scout has an open connector at the control module for the probe. A couple zip ties are included to help route the harness, though a couple more would have been better. I used probably 10-12 routing the pyrometer harness and in securing the leftover length from the guage panel and the control module under the dash.

At this point I haven't sent the unit into Quad to get the transducer update for lift pump pressure though I do plan to. Planning to tap into the line just after the MKII in the 'big line' 3/8" hose with the supplied fitting that I've got sitting here.

It's been working fine since I put it in, I've tried various readings like fuel %, engine load %, rail pressure and boost of course as well as EGT and they all seem to work fine. The refresh rate on the readout is plenty fast, faster than I had expected even which is nice.

For the money and the install so far I have to say it's hard to beat. Time will tell how robust it is I guess however.
