Default SMARTY JR vs Dr. PERFORMANCE? Stackable?

Hello. I just ran across a new Smarty Jr programer I can pick up for $200.00. I'm going to buy it I know thats a good deal but do yall think this is a better setup on my almost stock truck over the Dr. P. moduel I already have? Could I stack the two and keep the Smarty on the lowest 40HP setting without grenading my stock automatic trans? Will the Smarty be able to controll the moduel and turn it's self down if it senses trans slippage or other harmfull conditions? I don't really tow with my truck that often it's just a get around town fun truck. Thanks in advance for the help.

First of all WELCOME TO THE BOARD!!!

If your truck is stock then I would not attempt to stack. You will be buying a tranny pretty quick (or clutch if you have a manual as I did not see it in your sig)

Thanks for the welcome! And yes I did forget to mention that my truck still has a stock auto. If you had an option between the two what is your preference?

If the Smarty is new be careful because Mads Electronics has a very very strick price policy.

i think there price policy is all about the ebay sales and warranties. But they can't get mad if he is buying it off someone personally, cause i highly doubt a shop somewhere is selling a new one for 200 bucks cause that would just be retarded. Mads has more of the problem of shops selling it lower than the price they set it at, not a problem with people selling used ones for 200 bucks .

i am a smarty freak myself! LOL...

As stated above. Smarty has strict policy on pricing and purchasing from "dealers" on ebay. Authorized smarty dealers are not to be selling on ebay. If however you have a private seller that is selling his smarty you are ok but i would want a paper trail for warranty purposes.
