Default AirDog Install tips

As soon as it arrives at my door I'm going to get started installing the AirDog 150 on my '04. Anyone have any tips to make the install go easier? I'm probably going to try lifting the bed instead of dropping a 1/2 tank of Diesel. How long can I expect it to take me to install by myself? And if I decide later to run it through the stock filter too to keep the WIF light and fuel heater, what other fittings will I need to do that?

Ok....I think they sent me the wrong one...I have an early '04 but the box I got says its for 05-08....The wiring harness that was included says pre-'98 and post-'04.5. Just by looking at it I don't see anything that would keep it from working but I'm sure I'm missing something. Do you know what the differences would be? The only difference that I can see is the instructions talk about the in-tank pump and how to bypass it. Would this one work? I was trying to get it installed tomorrow because thats my only day off for a while.

It should work, I have installed the same AD 100 on a 06 and a 99, the only difference was the wiring connection, the 99 did not need the same adapter that the 06 did. Check the wiring connection before you start, if it works then you are good to go. As far as the in tank pump, if you have one all you have to do is unplug the yellow wire on the stock pump, I believe it is the same color for the motor mounted pump. Check their website, they have the destructions for both on there.

As far as I can tell by looking at the harness, all the wiring that attaches is with a ring style connection, the only plugs it has are the one that attaches to the pump.

Do anyone have, or know where I can get a .pdf copy of the instruction manual for an '04? I'd like to look at that and see if I can see any differences between it and the manual I have.

On a friends we mounted it on the outside of the frame rail, drilled and tapped the frame.

Ok...last question, what do I do with all the old stuff? I disconnected the line from the CP3 and now its just in there hanging out. someone said I can pull the old lift pump and filter out but what would I do with the electrical connections that connect to it? And also it looks like there is a line that comes off the CP3 and goes to the fuel rail that connects to the filter housing with a banjo bolt, so not sure I can take it off after all.

Ohh, and Pureflow Tech. is really starting to **** me off, I'm still waiting on the correct wiring harness, they said they shipped it on Tues and I still haven't seen it.
