i see the smarty has different levels of tune. pretty much where you can select the amount of HP you want. but i see for each power level theres one that has added timing and one without added timing. whats added timing and whats better to use?

Timing is the position of the crankshaft in degrees before or after top dead center when the fuel is injected into the combustion chamber.

I stay on level 3, I have noticed that if I run it without timing it runs hotter. You will just have to try it out and see which one works best for you.

the odd number SW, are added timing and the even are no timing. I run SW3 99% of the time. added timing reduces EGT's and increase in mileage. Depends on what you have done to the truck and if you have it stacked with other boxes. You don't want to have a box such as the edge and smarty and have the smarty on an odd number. The edge adds timing and so would the smarty on the odd numbers. Too much timing = BAD.
