It is all in how you install them.... the Bushwacker flares use small screws on the inside and 3M tape on the out side... the little rubber trim is actually very strong but like any rubber it can dry rot so using armor all or something to keep it in good shape is a good idea... either that or every other year or so call bushwacker and ask for a new installation kit and replace all the moulding on it....

DunesRunner, I like the 3-M tape idea, I think it is the key in preventing the flare from wearing the paint off, the small screws on the inside do they screw into the plastic inner fender or the wheel well metal flange? Thanks
Has anyone installed the Mopar Power Wagon flares? If so how do they attach onto the fenders both body and wheel well?

i personally like the bushwaker with those drill holes on the fender.

the bushwackers come with self tapping screws and screw into the metal part of the fender, but they are really small screws so if you take them out, you will never notice

The 3m tape was a good idea on the one, but I didnt do it on the other
