Did that change after you changed your thermostat? You might of had a bad one.

you want cooler temps? My temps never get to 200 empty- add an aux fan on the front - your ac will blow ice also

Fellas, we moved from West coast to East coast - so its been a few months. The great thins about this is I put thousands of miles under the hood since last posting. That being
said, I did not change my driving style but gained a few MPGs from the mods. Bottom line, I feel the mods gained me about 5 MPGs, or a 131%.
Here are the stats:
Distance Type of driving (?) Gals MPGs
377 HWY, +2000LB load 17g 22.2
353 No change 18g 19.6
178 No change 8g 22.3
432 No change 21g 20.6
449 No change 22g 20.4
340 No change 16g 21.25
121 No change 6g 20.2
273 City, No load 12g 22.75
350 City. No load 17g 20.6
270 City, No load 16g 16.9 This anomaly has my attention too- poor mileage is possibly due to time in the shop and testing to fix a death wobble

I am very happy with the overall increase in MPGs from the mods. Yep, I still drive like great-grandma, but this is a consistency - not a new variable.

Your insights over the past months have my attention now - - I look forward to additional mods. The 25 MPG goal is on the horizon.

Thank you for your time and feedback!

What did you decide to do for the death wobble fix? Upgrade stabilizer, box brace, or both?

We replaced the stabilizer and tie rod arms. Initially, I focused on the stabilizer, but then realized the tie rod arm needed fixing as well.

My truck's engine temp does rise and the AC is less than well in stop and go city traffic; no problems on regular driving. What make/model of aux fan did you install? And perhaps an engine picture for us to see where you placed yours. Thanks

17" spal slim fan- it's a puller style and is about 1.5" thick. Power plug and fan was $80 on amazon. I was able to mount this on top of the ac condensor without having to adjust my hood latch. For power I tapped into my ac compressor power wire so it only engages when then ac is running.

Ill have to dig up a pic- I recently removed it when I upgraded my intercooler. The new one is thicker and couldn't sneak in it without majorly tweaking my hood latch.

Were you able to dig up a picture of this yet? Thanks

My truck is in the auto-body shop now. More updates on fuel efficiency will follow in October. We got clipped while driving through Fort Worth, Texas. Fortunately, we were not at fault; and nobody got hurt. The perp did a double-lane change - no turn signal - when she entered I-20. Proceeded to hit my truck in the front right quarter panel, again down the right side panels, and a third time on right rear bumper. The driver - nor her 7 passenger - saw my truck (a Mega Cab 2500..). On a good note, the police report captured her faultiness as it was later determined she was not insured and the 'proof of insurance' card displayed on site was an old photocopy.

Please continue to let me know the modifications that best improved your truck's MPGs.
Thanks!
