Default 4" Straight Pipe

before I had 5" straight piped and it was just too loud. The drone and not being able to hear on the phone killed me. I got 4" duals and now I want a different sound. If I straight pipe the 4", is it going to be loud like the 5"? I really liked the turbo spool down sound of the 5", will I get that with the 4"?

I would think the 4" would be louder. It was on my 2nd gen but I think the CR trucks are just loud in general.

4" isn't louder it "raspier" if that makes any sense... I hate 4" straight pipes... sounds sickly.... But I hear ya on the 5" that'll rattle your teeth loose...

The size of the exhaust tip makes the difference...... SIZE MATTERS

Yes...4" IS louder. 5" has a deeper tone but its NOT louder. Its actually slightly quieter. Some people need to go back and study the law of physics.

it will be too loud! I ran this setup on my 04.5 and could stand it. It didnt even sound good.

throw an AERO turbine in there and the rest straight piped. you'll love the sound. Its not to loud and its no quiet and the sound is sweet.

My truck sounded like a small airplane when it was straight piped. I ran no cat/muffler for a week before I put the cat back on.
