Here Is A Review I Found.. Hope This Helps.

Diablo Predator Tuner Review « Diesel Performance Chips - TDI Performance - Exhaust Stacks Etc..

Why The Diablo Predator? A lot of our clients are interested in the Diablo Predator for the following reasons:

* Economical- Compared to some of the competing diesel programmers like the Bully Dog Triple Dog priced at $597.99 or the Superchips Flashpaq priced at $499.99 the Diablo Predator Programmer is a deal at $399.95.
* Great Performance Gains- For my applications, 05 Dodge Cummins, there are three performance settings and those are 60hp Tow Setting, 100hp Performance/Economy Setting and 160hp Extreme Performance Setting. In my opinion its great bang for the buck.
* Increased Diesel Fuel Mileage- Like I said earlier we had heard from out clients that they had seen gains of anywhere from 1-5MPG, with my truck I saw about the same range actually, some tanks 1MPG better and some tanks 5MPG better. It just depended on how I drove it, of course.

Why Not the Diablo Predator? I have really enjoyed the Diablo Predator during the time I have had it on my truck, how can you not enjoy 60-160 more horsepower right? The main problem that I have had with the predator is:

* No Over sized Tire Recalibration on the Cummins- If you drive a Duramax it’s a different story but I would have liked to be able to recalibrate my speedo to get more accurate fuel mileage etc..
* No Speed Governor Recalibration- Who wouldn’t want to go a little faster right?

So in the end I am overall satisfied with the performance and mileage increase for the money with the Diablo Predator Tuner, if you are running oversized tires and have the money you might be better off with something like the Superchips Flashpaq.

I cant give much advice on an 07 but a buddy of mine has a Diablo Sport as well as a couple of other chips stacked on his 03. On the dyno, he gets the biggest bang from the Diablo Sport and its the cheapest one by far.

Is your truck a 6.7l or 5.9l? i don't think DS has a programmer for the 6.7s yet. I ran that programmer on my 07 5.9 and put down 452hp/870tq with it on the Extreme RKL tune along with an HTB2 turbo. Very nice power......

Default Predator Tuner

i just hooked up the predator tuner on my 2007 dodge dually mega cab, 2wd 6 speed manual trans. It is the 5.9l and the tuner adds amazing power. The amount of smoke through every gear is heavy. I am running it on extreme tune with very little tranny slippage. The every day driving i will tune in the economy tune and go from there. Definetly happy with the product!!

Be careful running the Extreme Tune on a stock clutch. Also make sure you have a set of gauges cause the Predator has been known to run hot.

I ran it in the extreme mode for a day and at about 75mph i would put it to the floor and what feel the clutch slipping. I put it down to the performance tune and it is much better, still real good throttle response and added power. With out a doubt there is still a fair amount of smoke in most gears. As far as gauges what do you reccomend getting? Do you think that my stock clutch will be ok in the performance tune??
Thanks
