You may want to copy and paste the info. We have just a few members who are, shall we say unable to partake of DTR website info. There was that politically correct enough.

The REVOlution starts here.
YO,
fellow BOMBers, I've got news for ya!

Italy; March 10th 2008

MADS-Smarty REVOlution software

For the first time the Cummins engine performance tuning software can now be customized by the end customer. With the Smarty S-06, a first ever in the industry!!!

The Revolution starts here…

What has changed? At first sight not too much… Smarty’s update now contains all years from 2003 to 2007 for the Dodge Cummins 5.9L common rail trucks. The new software update is smaller in size than the previous ones! It takes less time to update your Smarty.
The new update is perfectly compatible with the previous firmware versions. (Sorry, the update for the S-04 is in the makes.) The new update will be available for free download from our website once the beta testing phase has been completed.

It is still possible to download a ready to use performance software , just like today. You do not need to become a rocket scientist to tune your truck, Smarty will do it for you.

Yet , over time your truck’s needs may ( or better worded WILL ) change and you need to adapt the tuning software to these changes.

Today, this becomes a reality !

When you enter the “ ECM update “ menu on Smarty you will now find a newly added chapter: “ Adjust Options “

Once entered, this menu allows you to choose between several items and levels of customization.

The items are :
1)Speedlimiter
2)RPM Limiter***
3)Shift limiter***
4)Torque Management levels
5)Injection timing
6)Rail Pressure
7)Wastegate

The levels are :
Speedlimiter :
From 25 to 250 Mph in one mile increments.

RPM Limiter*** : Two selections.
# 0, Stock value. ( Default )
# 1 4000 RPM.

Shift Limiter*** : Two levels.
# 0 ; Stock value On. ( Default )
# 1 ; Off. ( Shift light indicator will be turned off.)

Torque Management : Four levels,
# 1 ; Stock.
# 2 ; “Mild”. ( Default )
# 3 ; “Moderate”.
# 4 ; “Wild” TM increase.

Injection Timing : Four levels.
# 1 ; Stock.
# 2 ; “Stock injectors”. ( Default )
# 3 ; “Aftermarket Injectors”.
# 4 ; “Less timing advance than “Aftermarket injectors”.

Rail pressure : Four levels.
# 1 ; Stock.
# 2 ; “Mild” Rail Pressure increase. ( Default )
# 3 ; “Moderate” Rail Pressure increase.
# 4 ; “Wild” Rail Pressure increase.

Wastegate : Two levels ( applies to 2004.5 and up trucks only )
# 0; Stock. ( Default )
# 1; “ OFF “. ( same as in the aftermarket turbo softwares )

How does it work?
If you do not want to change the default software configuration simply skip the “ Adjust Options” menu and choose any # of the CaTCHER softwares you want, just like today.

If you want to change any (or all…) of the default values of the customize able items. Enter the “Adjust Options” menu, navigate with the “ > “ or “ < “ key to the item you want to customize, enter the value you want, DONE! Smarty will do the rest.

In addition… Smarty will memorize your preferred selection and apply it to all ECM updates you’re going to do. As a simple example, you set the Speedlimiter to “100”
Smarty will always use that value for all ECM updates. That’s, until you change the value again or return Smarty back to stock.

*** Available with the TNT Race tunes only. Only for use with fully prepared engines!

Sounds like Marco is also working on some things for the 2nd gens also. Of course it won't be anything like what you see for the CR. Time will tell. Maybe they decided it was time to do something before the Adrenaline took everything away from them. Otherwise the smarty would be nothing but a overpriced code reader. JMO
