I have k&m cold air intake & have been looking at chip upgrades that claim more power & mpg. The mpg is what I am interested in. I get 16-19 depending if my foot is in it. I have seen chips priced up to $300. and a couple out there for around $65. that have two wires that plug into IAT sensor. Need help if these are just phony or the real thing & do they actually work.

 

Dont do anything, buy a programer.

Smarty or edge juice w/attitude

 

my truck came with an edge chip and it did a little but compared to my smarty its nothing so for the money youll be spending id go ahead and get a programmer

 

x2 on the Smarty

 

x3 smarty programmer. mp8 or edge for pressure boxes, bully dog is a pretty good program too, they all pretty much add the claimed power, its just how they get the power is what you wanna watch out for (jacking up the rail pressure)

and fill out your sig so we can help you some more, also look into gauges. (mechanical) boost, rail pressure and egt gauge are a must when running these tuners
