Default Good set up?

So the money from my garduation party is begging me to go into my truck, but heres a big question, would I be fine running 100hp injector nozzles with a better lift pump, Boost elbow, CAI, and a 4" TBE? I dont want to have to worry about my EGT's everytime I drive somewhere, but I want some more umph out of my truck. Im also planning on putting an EJWA and a phatshaft 62 (or 64?) and a heavier trani on it this winter when my cash flow is steady. Does anybody see any issues with this set up or have better suggestions?

Oh and I also want to make sure 100hp nozzles wont make the truck to smokey, a little smoke here and there is ok but i dont wanna be the jackass that blacks out the sun everytime i touch the throttle

if your planning on upgrading the turbo to 62mm i would wait on the injectors... 100hp injectors will smoke with factory turbo. what lift pump do you have? the EJWA would be great with turbo and maybe 100-150hp injectors.. do you tow alot? if you do tow, a 64mm will not be the turbo of choice because the 64 is laggy at first... the 62mm spools quicker giving you lower egts from the get go and slowly increases through the gears and rpms.. the 64mm turbo will have higher egts in the beginning and decrease as you are running through gears and rpms. but if i was in this situation, i would take the money and put it torward the trans... a local shop would be your best bet.. you should look into getting a triple TC, valve body and have them rebuild trans with kolene steels, upgraded servos etc. local shops are ALOT cheaper than buying a trans prebuilt from like ATS, goerend etc. once your trans is built up, then get turbo, injectors, and EJWA.. just my opinion. hope this helps bud. and congrats on graduating!!

Thank you, The current lift pump is stock but its getting a raptor on the frame next week. I actually talked to my transmission guy and he pretty much said everything you did. I was also thinking about throwing some billet in there too just for some extra security. And yes I do tug around a trailer once in a while (26' steel horse trailer with about 2500lbs worth of critters) so I think I'm gonna go with a 62mm turbo. I'm pretty sure I want 100hp nozzles and an EJWA to push the fuel to it as long as its not going to get to warm. I'm not looking to go crazy with power but I'd like it to be there when I need it... Or want it

ya if you got the extra dough, throw in billet input and output.. why not?!!?!?!?! Raptor makes a good lift pump, however, if you wan the extra fuel flow, go with a fass or airdog with the fuel filtration on the pump, then you will bypass the restrictive factory fuel filter canister. and run directly to the VP. as far as the injectors if you dont plan on doing much with truck but are upgrading the turbo, id still go with maybe some diesel dawgs 150hp injectors. the 62mm can handle matching air with that big of an injector.

Exactly my thoughts, I might as well make the trani bulletproof so I dont have to worry about it... Then again I also just found out I have a 53 block
Idk if I'm just not gonna think about it or if I'm gonna sell the truck or what.. Any thoughts there?

From what I've read the 53 blocks tend to crack when their cold and you romp on them hard just from my reading. Maybe wrong.but all I could fins is let it warm up a few minutes before going out and pulling a heavy load or putting excessive load on the engine

I always warm it up for about a minute or two anyhow, and I'm really not unhappy with the truck. I actually really love it, Its definitly an upgrade from the rust bucket 12v I used to have. I think as long as I let it warm up and dont really beat on it it should be ok so I'm not gonna worry about it to much. Thanks for all the input guys, I appreciate it.

how many miles? if its over like 100k the chances of it cracking are significantly minimized.
