hey guys,
i was looking at the turbo on my truck and it has a little shaft play in it so i thought sooner or later i will have to rebuild it. well i want to put a 35 40 hybrid on it just to help out with the extra fuel but i dont know what i need to build one. so if you could tell me what i need and where i could find this stuff, that would be great. thanks

 

You need the compressor housing and compressor wheel from a HX40 to make your hybrid. There are kits available online from various vendors. Best place to find the parts is to post in our Price quote section, and let our sponsors take care of you. I recently built one, and took a few picts:

thanks. i found someone who sells the kits. they have a 60mm 6 blade compresser wheel and a 8 blade one. which one would work best

I have heard that 6 is better then 7, but haven't seen why. Maybe the blades can "scoop" more air per revolution then 8 blades. The 6 would also be lighter for faster spool up.

 

Who did you find that sells them?
