Had planed on about 90 to 125 hp injectors .
|
so 450hp ish? a 60mm charger would be fine for that level. being that your truck is an auto i would stay with as small a turbine housing as you can. a HE351 off of a 04.5-07 5.9 wouldnt be a bad option they are 60/60/9cm or if the 9cm housing gives you drive pressure concerns just do a 35/40 hybrid
|
My truck right now has a hy-35 its a 9cm housing they suck , have yo turn my programmer down to pull a 14 ft trailer
|
yes the hy sucks but the HE351 is not the same thing its just the same size turbine housing. the wastegates are totally different.

I have a friend that is running the super HX-40 he loves it , spools up well with 150 injectors , his truck is an auto to . By the way thanks for all the help , your info has been very help full , THANKS

no problem

he351 is better than the super 40 except for potential drive pressure issues.
the .83 is a T4 and factory BW for the 68mm turbine. It will spool faster than the .91, but you can run into drive pressure issues. the .80 t3 is a better solution as it is wastegated so you can use a smaller turbine to spool up and then the wastegate opens to get 30-405 more flow out of the engine simulating a 1.10 housing thus keeping drive pressure low. Drive pressure above 1.2: 1.0 boost will rob HP. thats why you want to tune the wastegate to open where ever the turbo compressors map is most efficient and flows the most air. Raising Boost pressure above that mark will actually flow less air with a greater restriction on both intake and exhaust = hotter air and more pumping losses. Jacob |
