what little i read told me of a mileage increase but funny how they leave things out like the amount of propane it took to save that gallon of diesel. i was hopin a 75 to 100 hp shot would satisfy my needs. i also read of kits that wouldnt come on till they saw atleast 7 lbs of boost. it was my impression that i could get that 75 to 100 hp without any further mods just simply addin it in.

Here is my theory on it:

-Too much propane may cause detonation/pre-combustion. Compression = Heat = Propane igniting too early(maybe, never looked into it much)
-Water/Meth lowers pre-combustion air temperature(instant air-to-air idea)
-More water meth, cooler pre-combustion air temp, allowing for more propane.

Maybe? That's the way I see it. Knowing more about the properties of LPG may unlock the questions you ask.

They can be ran together - but most organizations do not allow either legally. I run propane on my truck ON THE STREET for mileage and power. Methanol gives the same power and adds cooling. Propane does not add oxygen. Methanol does. Methanol LOWERS egt's at the right mixture. Propane does increase temps but on my set-up only 40 degrees at max flow. Both propane and methanol are much higher octane than diesel and burn slower. Both are a very good addition to your diesel. As far as danger - propane is easy to run too much. Pinging can lead to catastrophic failure. I run variable flow but still have to restrict the maximum that I dump in my engine. Next add-on will be the water methanol and I will mix my own "Juice" at the ratio I want for much cheaper than available. Both propane and methanol will be driven off the same hobbs switch and I might add a higher boost hobbs for a second "dump" of power producing methanol at higher boost pressure. It is all good and fun.
