Default surgin down the fwy

howdy,72fj here my own 2000 5.9 24v started surging going on a 2.50hr drive last weekend it took about 1hr after driving cant seem to pinpoint the prob, reman v44 about
28,000 miles and tranfer pump im a stock freak so dont bag on me too much.fuel pressures staying to spec,(all new cummins sensors installed, new fuel filter great fuel milage.no loss of power, you can watch boost gauge go up down and here turbo going up/down and then stablizes no boost leaks pressure checked,no fault codes.new tps sensor no suction problems or return flow problems,i am starting to think the gov in v44 might the problem have any of you run across this problem befor,in my shop we only work on mid range and hd truck repair, other than that truck runs normal.any info would help

My auto surges sometimes. from what iv heard is it the tranny acting up and trying to figure out what gear it wants to be in.... i also would like to know what else causes surging haha.

Don't know if it relates but my buddies 98.5 surges in 3rd gear at a certain rpm trying to decide if it wants to be in 4th or not. All he has to do is go twist the terminals on his batteries and it solves the problem.
