Default tapping the pump wire

I,ve heard alot of bad things from tapping the pump wires. Is it going to damage my vp if I get a programmer that taps the pump wire. Already have a MP Powerplay with a set of 75hp sticks 4 inch exhaust and airdog fuel pump. 5 speed with valair clutch. Was looking to stack with the MP Poweplay I,ve go on the truck now. What would be a good unit to do that with and what kind of hp gains could I expect to see. Thanks

do you mean the ts mvp? either way if youre wanting to keep it and stack it youd probably be stacking with a smarty or some other brand of flash tuner. The tapping of the pump wire would be from using a adrenaline or edge comp, etc. I dont think youd wana stack those with the ts. Both would be using the map sensor at the same time.

yes it is a TS MVP I was old that I,d not be able to stack this with a smarty. I guess with the TS I need a tunner that I can do more fuel only. Or should I consider vp pump work instead of a tunner Thanks

what does the ts add? sounds like you may be better off with a comp box and taping the pump wire

ts claims 100 horse. smarty claims up to 230 I think. Smarty gives you alot of options, they are great programmers.

There isn't a Smarty Jr for the VP44 trucks.
