i replaced the sending unit and still wont work

 

smack the heck outa the tank and see if it dislodges the float...........very common with these trucks

 

I always test mine with a multimeter before installing to be sure they work. However mines still not accurate

 

Anybody know what the ohms values are supposed to be.I'm getting about 30 ohms full and about 150 ohms empty with the sending unit out of the tank.Have the new sending unit and just waiting on the Vulcan drawstraw.

 

Really?? Thats good to know, I have never heard that!

 

You need to make sure you install the fuel module the same way it came out.I replaced my sending unit and did the drawstraw and after putting it back together my fuel gauge wouldn't go up after putting in 25 gallons.It turned out the module wasn't lined up and the float was hitting the side of the tank.3

 

also make sure you dont ever fuel up with the truck running.. my screwed up that way.
