O it makes a difference if it's for the stock pump or a FASS? CRAP!
I'M CONFUSED!!! :scare2: |
The snubber valve is a mesh filter that supposed to cushion impact of high pressure on the diaphram of the sending unit. I imagine with high volume units this may be helpful,I just puchased the glowshift gauges, fuel pressure, egt, boost, very satisfied with them exept one issue, the dimming feature.I wish they had it set up old school to dim when you dim the dash lights. I 'll look into that later, now to busy:tu:

I use a needle valve for a snubber on my 1st Gen. |
I forgot to mention that I used a hose to remote mount the sending unit of the engine,to keep engine vibrations off the sending unit

If you don't push the diaphram hard you will not move the variable resitor to the point of supplying to much ground to the gauge where damage can occor

You can use a needle valve instead of the snubber. Napa part number WH6820, they cost about $8 two years ago. After you install it, close the valve completely. Then just barely crack it open untill you start to get a reading on your gauge. I've been running a GlowShift FP gauge for over two years now with no problems.

I've heard that you can use a flexible hose off a grease gun to act as an isolator between the snubber and the sending unit to help smooth out the pulsations.

would it be possible to use a needle and snubber valve together? any benfit from this?
