In the next few weeks I was planing on painting the valve cover, intake horn, and pipes coming from the intercooler red. Any thing else I should paint while Im in there? And any of yall got any tips on paint to use or pointers? Thanks guys!

 

Well you are in the right state for paint to dry.

You can paint the water neck,alternator backet,APPS sensor backet,gear cover this would need to be removed,air intake plate.

 

one more coat of red then the gloss... All high temp paint. Got work early in the morning so I could not do everything

 

Got it done. Looked good can't wait to get the valve cover done it looks nasty.. also thinking about painting the turbo... And then the headers

 

Cummins has a red valve cover ready to put on.

Looks good.. are you going to do the water neck and alternator bracket.

There is a red silicone hose kit also.

 

Yea I know but that cost some $$$ I ran out of time so I only got the intake and the apps done. Its my DD and I have work in the morning. Im planing on the water neck the tube from the intercooler to the intake and alt bracket... also paint the fan shroud red with white letters..

Looks good for sure,what color paint is that?the only reason I ask is I'm about ready to do mine and i was going to go to cummins for the red paint.

 

No don't go to cummins. I used dupi color motor paint... The high temp stuff I'll have to look at home what color it is
