Default Disapointed at the Track

I know they have a forum specifically for drag racing. But this forum has more eyes than the other. Plus more people i talk to are on here" Dodge Owners". So I took my truck to the strip to see what shed run and I was hoping with my setup id be in the 14's. They told me if I ran any quicker than a 14 id have to have a helmet. At first without makin a pass. I was worried about not having a helmet. Well I only made 2 passes and I ran a best of 15.72 at 88 mph. I only ran two passes due to the fact that after them my tranny was a 220 degrees on a stock tranny. So I didnt want to explode anything so I thought it best id leave it at 2 passes. I believe my slow runs were due to a stock tranny slipping all the way down the track. The high tranny temps prove that. Plus you could feel it pull then plateau then pull again with the throttle mashed to the floor board. I had to swallow my pride last night due to and almost stock LB7 was kickin my *** and i was leavin on him at the tree and i wasnt burning the tires off. I was running on extreme. So I guess what im asking is would you agree that it was due to tranny slippage that resulted in a pretty disapointing 1/4 mile time?

Your losing all your power through your transmission.

I would agree that there is a significant loss in your transmission. I can floor my set up on max fuelling from 0-80MPH and maybe gain 20*F on the temp gauge. Trans temp will start at 100*, and maybe (at the most) hit 125* when I finally pull out of fuel.

I also would imagine your not leaving at much boost? my truck hy35 a edge juice with attitude leaving at about 12lbs of boost would run 15.06 at best already had billet input and triple disc converter. with a 62/71/14 and a set of 110hp ddp injectors with a bd rad box to remove the torque management I ran 12.92. so you should be able to get into the high 12's with a built trans
