Default Superchips question

Hello fellow Diesel bombers,

I have a few questions, I recently got a 1999 Cummins 5 speed and it came with an edge ez and a Afe stage 2 intake and a south bend clutch and it has a fass system. i want to get some power on top if the edge. guages are coming soon and i would like to get a smarty and some injectors but do not have the funds at the moment. I would like to know if a superchips programmer would be okay to run until i can sell it and get a smarty. my goal for the truck it to have about 350 hp and 950 torque maybe more any opinions would be awesome

Thanks in advance,

Tanner

What would the pooper....I mean superchip cost? I bet a set of injectors would be similar in cost, maybe a bit more, and go way further.

Haha, I hope you don't take offence to my little joke. There are just so many products that are so much better out there.
Diesel Dawgs Performance
and they are ready to drop in and go! Not much more then the chip. You could also go this route,
Diesel Dawgs Performance
and swap them your self, and get them pop tested.

Injectors can be installed with basic hand tools, and would take less then 3 hours for a first time. A few wrenches, maybe a ratchet/socket or two, a small screwdriver, and a small prybay/heel bar and your set. Very easy to do, and what a difference it will make.

don't waste money stacking anything with the edge it's just that wasted money. a good set of injectors will go a long way. a stock vp will make 700 hp trust me. you need air to get to that point though. I would stick with 100's or smaller on a stock turbo. your better off to upgrade to an edge comp if you already bought gauges or edge juice with attitude it has gauges. I started out with a stock truck and went to 683 with a stock vp. 319 was what it made with stock injectors and my juice with attitude 359 with a set of rv 275 injectors.
