Default Programmer and Tuner Question

I have enjoyed the mild tuning mods and Hypertech program on stage 3 for several years now. I want to know how a set of mildly performance injectors will change things. Horsepower and torque. EGTs. MPGs!!! Stock clutch with 210k miles on it. Is a hotter program better, easier, and cheaper? What do yall think?

Well the injectors are gonna give you increase hp/tq, and depending how you drive better mpgs. But your gonna have higher egts if you dont have a A/F turbo that would support this added fuel. If I was you I would get a btr clutch than add the power thats just me. Plus a more aggresive tuner that taps into your injector pump, better fuel sticks and a turbo and your gonna see a big increase. Depending on if you constantly gettin on the fuel pedal will make the differenced if your stock clutch last.

I appreciate your info, Killstroker. I'm really looking for a much less extreme (expensive) increase in power. Have I already reached the point to where that's my only option? Hypertech, 4" exhaust without muffler, BHAF, and Raptor 100 lift pump is my list of mods.

I think you can use them both but I would use the Comp box for fuel/timing and the hypertech on stock but for your tires and gearing. U need to check to see if they will stack first. My second thought is you could just get a diff tire size compensator that doesnt plug into your OBD port?????

If they are compatible, what change in fuel mileage can I expect and what about VP44 longevity? For my info, when do I look at larger injectors?

Well Its avertised at 2-3 mpg depending upon driving style?????? Thats up to you to debate and people on here will probably chime in. I know I have an edge on mine and just plugging it on stock lvl the truck is just a smoother operator. I would say ive gotten a lil increase in fuel but I put a Airdog 150 in as well so its hard to say about getting btr mileage. The AD says the the same mileage increase. But have I seen a 4-6 increase with the 2? ...no. I generally get 23mpg on the "make a wish overhead counter". Running it on the Mileage lvl.

As far as the VP44 There is some stickys all about VP44's at the begining of the discussion board.

Get a Fuel pressure gauge yesterday.

Injectors well its hard saying for future I assume your running the stock turbo. Id stick to 50hp-100hp sticks unless you plan for an upgraded turbo and tranny work in the future. I plan on getting 150 sticks soon but had to pay for Hot water heater. I also saving for a turbo and tranny. I just found out that Goerend Tranny is only and hour from my house.
