boost controller vs. waste gate jhook

so i put a valve on my waste gate line and made more boost but was wondering if a jhook will give me more? the valve i put on is closed all the way so i dont think the waste gate is opening at all.... any thoughts?

If you have the line blocked the jhook will do nothing for you
