what lift pump did you install? no its not normal. do you have a fuel pressure gauge on the truck? if not, get one if you can. Have you had your codes cleared recently? if so do the codes kep coming back?

ah theres the problem. The factory pumps are junk, especially the intank ones, the autozone replacement ones are even worse, I burnt through 5 of them in a month and a half before finally putting a aftermarket pump on. You need to take you truck, if running to autozone and let them clear your codes, then restart the truck check again and see if any come back. If the lift pump went out for too long prior to replacing it, your injection pump maybe damaged too

oh yeah, sounds like a VP got too hot from lack of fuel, sorry man. a word to the wise, just get you a stock replacement pump and steer clear of the hotrods, not worth it in my opinion

yeah Raptor 100 would be a good beginner pump for you providing you have no big fuel mods. FASS is also very good, i run one of each. Ive heard decent things about PPE but never tried them
