I have heard this many times as well, and even from a few Edge employees. None of my EJWA's can keep up with the Comp box I have.
You're still running a Comp box? I thought you were getting a Drag Comp or am I just imagining that?

Weird. I called edge with questions regarding this and I was told by one of the techs that lvl 6 does nothing on a manual trans truck, and in an auto truck only changes shifting patterns. Exactly what he told me about this year truck. He said it fuels harder on commonrails but not 2nd gen 24v trucks.

Mo, that wasn't me. I think the Hot Unlock makes it a "drag comp"

how does edge do anything to control the shifting patterns? It doesn't plug into the trans or obdII port. and yes level 6 makes a difference on a manual truck my dad has my old hot unlock level 6 edge juice with attitude on his 99 and it makes smoke actually on stock injectors and pulls harder. I am not sure what edge guy you talked to, but I think he had his head in the wrong place. I know it makes it fuel more aggressive on the bottom than what it does on level 5

I believe you and I'm not disagreeing. I'm just throwing out the info that the manufacturer told me. I may put the hot unlock on my 01 anyway because I do believe that it fuels harder. I have a buddy with an 01 HO truck that runs much better on lvl 6 than 5. Just making conversation, and like I said, that's what I was told by edge.

it hits awesome!!!!! definitely tonnes more jam than stage 5. i am very happy with the added power but the egt's spike to the limit pretty quick...and i have way more pedal to hammer on. "with great power comes great responsibility" i guess. all i can think of now is bigger exhaust and a bigger turbo? what else can a guy do to keep the heat down? i also wonder if this problem will get worse if i put 110hp injectors in?

Yes, the EGT's will get a lot hotter with the additions of 110's.
How much boost are you making now?
