this is a picture of my Cb mount in my truck, the cup holder has been removed for the whelen light bar controler, but you could also make the CB lower and still have access to the cup holder and the bracket is just welded together and thier are two bolts through the floor.

 

I mounted my cb right against the front of my middle seat facing up and looks great ran all the wires under carpet and up into behind dash.. works good for me but just depends on what look your goin for

 

I did the same with mine there is two bolts under the middle seat that you can use to bolt a bracket to without drilling holes elsewhere. It makes the cb controls very accessible mounting it right in front of the middle seat as well.
