Default More Power!

I am fairly new to the cummins diesel. I've had mine for about a year now. I want some more power and would like to hear some ideas from you guys. I have an 01 cummins. I have a cold air intake, 100 hp nozzels, aftermarket intake manifold and a diablo power puck installed on it but its not good enough. Im still not getting the HP and torque and smoke that I want. Im thinking of an edge comp or juice and maybe doing away with the muffler and resonator. My questions are.... What should I do with the tranny to keep up with the torque? Are there any other mods I can make to give me more HP? I like black smoke. I have a vw diesel that runs on veggie oil, so Im doing my part for the environment and love smoking out electric cars. Thanks.

if its a manual trans then get a clutch, if its auto then a torque converter and valve body, or just a fully built trans and not worry about it ever again... and ditch the power puck and pick up a smarty

Its an auto trans. Im getting the trans built up. What about the smarty? Can one stack the smarty or any other programmer with the power puck?

First thing for your truck should be an aftermarket lift pump such as a FASS or Airdog. The next thing is a transmission upgrade like a Goerend built 47RE or Suncoast build because your tranny won't hold anymore power. The third thing is to be SMART about when smoking. Smoking is bad for our sport and everyone after me will tell you that "if you build it, smoke will come." I have a Quadzilla Adrenaline with PCM and if I want, I can black out an intersection, or I can get 22 MPG's, but you can't do both at the same time.

you can stack it yeah, but you can get TNT tunes from them which goes up to 230 hp.... stacking is not needed nor wanted, plus it wouldn't help, but like said above get a fuel pump first, i have an airdog 150 and it works great

Fairly certain you can only get Revo for the S-03... and how do you figure stacking wouldn't help?

i would run the smarty with an edge comp or tst pm3 comp....After getting the airdog/fass... doesnt pay to have the box if you cant keep up with fuel

So the lift pump is a must? The vp44 and factory lift pump are fairly new. I already have the power puck. I was just wondering if I should go with a smarty or edge comp that would stack with the puck or just get rid of the puck? I want more power but I dont want to spend several thousand $$$.

Air Dog or Fass is a must as stated before. And the smarty on the VP trucks itself only adds about 65 hp i believe. You can stack the Smarty with a Quadzilla or Edge Juice with attitude or the edge comp but the the box that taps the pump(quad, EJWA, Edge Comp) is what will give you the most hp upgrades.

A lift pump will save you several thousand dollars down the road if you install it first. You looking at a minimum of $1000 for a VP44, and if it keeps failing because $600 wasn't invested at the wrong time, it will be $1000 a few times. I too would remove your puck, and upgrade to a Quad Adrenaline, or Edge Juice with Attitude. Lots of power, plus gauges, alerts, turbo timer, and many more features. It will roll coal, if you think that's what you want. Personally I like clean power.
