I bought the kit from top gun customz

98-02 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Dual Steering Stabilizer Kit with Bilstein Cylinders @Top Gun Customz



Not happy at all with the kit,

the u bolts move on the sway bar when 100% tight they are going to break at anytime , not to mention that the supplied nuts for the ubolts are the wrong thread pattern and i had to cross-thread everyone of them and snapped a u bolt off and had to chase the threads to get a new nut on it.

the kit came in 2 shipments , and with NO INSTRUCTIONS!

I had to keep looking at images from there website on my phone to do the install and there is a reason why there photos dont have the boot covers .... its because they hit the mounting brackets at full turn , I've already ripped one off

Add to it that in the photos the shocks are perfectly strait across , well they have the shock on top of the pass bracket and on bottom of the drivers bracket and on my truck that made the shocks in a "V" shape

HORRIBLE DESIGN, OVER PRICED, RIPPED PACKAGING, NO INSTRUCTIONS, IMPROPER FASTENERS

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

 

After I got my kit way back when and had these same problems I was told that it was because although it is advertised for our trucks it is actually designed for 1/2 ton trucks.

I had to bend the U-bolts around the axle tube to get it over the tube and then through the holes on the flat bar.

 

well that blows. guess i will look at another brand when i get mine

 

Top Gunz is a relabeled Skyjacker so ya know you should avoid both.

 

Thats good informatiom I was gonna do that this spring, but definately not from either one of them,
