Default fuel pressure gauge problem

heres the deal. ive always had autometer and they have been great. i have a few buddies with glowshift and they seem to like em. so my fpg takes a crap on me and i need a new one so i said what the hell and got a glowshift because i like to try new things every now and then. i install the gauge and all the lighting works great. but the gauge reads about 1 to 3 at idle. heres the kicker, i accelerate and the needle goes up with the acceleration??? it does not drop like my autometer did and should. what could i have done wrong in the install or did i just get a bad gauge? it has a snubber on it also. any thoughts? hope this isnt the last time i try something new cuz they are really nice looking and seem to be of decent quality.

checked all the connections today...all tight. they said to take the green wire which goes to the gauge from the sending unit off and the gauge should peg out. then ground the wire and it should hit zero. if it does it is not the gauge. it did all of this. then to use a compressor and put 10 to 20psi into the sending unit and check again which i have not yet done but will do tonight.

isolator??
