how would a super b work for me

Yup, it's a great little turbo. But it is basically a stock replacement. They are very well put together but they just do not flow enough air for big power.

They run good as a set of twins, that is the top turbo used on the BD towing twins. Those twins are good for about 575 horse.

I'm in the same boat as far as buying a used turbo. Have it checked out if you can. Shaft play in and out is a very bad deal means the bearing are shot. Check for soot inside the compressor housing that would show you if the turbo has been barked a lot which is the main reason bearing go out, that and shutting them down hot.

Is your truck an auto or a manual?

If you have a manual check out the Super B Special it will make the same amount of power as the twins but only half the price. If you have an auto stay away from the Special, it will bark and surge like crazy.....
