Default what mod should i do next

i have a 12V but my buddy has a 99' 24V it has a K&N intake and a banks exhaust i told him a chip is next but i am not sure what is the best for the money i think he wants to spend between 400-600 so what is the best one for the money and will the trans hold a chip it is an automatic thanks for the help

I would suggest getting gauges and a Fass or Air Dog lift pump so that he ensures the life of the vp44 so that it is not getting starved for fuel.

I agree with above. And before he gets to crazy maybe get a good valve body and torque converter them maybe a chip. Unless he wants a tuner then pay for a tranny later

Indeed, on a 24V, aftermarket lift pump and fuel pressure gauge are an absolute must. After that the tranny should come before any serious HP upgrades or it won't last at all. After that, an Edge Juice, or a Quad Adrenaline would be a good choice...

will the lift pump add horsepower or just to ensure the life of the vp44

Lift pump will not add any horsepower, only save you money in the long run...

INDEED!!! You spend 500 on a lift pump now it'll save you 1000 to 1500 in the long run

you can get a Raptor and a small chip for under $600, or an airdog for $100 more. Airdog is kind of overkill for the Vp44 trucks, but the raptor kit still does not fix the restrictive banjo bolt fittings.
