Default pinching off waste gate line on stock turbo

I've ran into a couple guys who've done this and was wondering about pros and cons of doing this on a stock turbo?

Did it on mine for a while, noticed more boost but it wasn't long before I got an adjustable elbow with the programmer I bought.

Bump....any other input from people who have done this or know about it?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Am I gonna see any performance upgrade from the boost elbow that came with my edge juice? Or do I need to look around for this adjustable one?

I could hit 40+ psi on mine when I added the elbow.

The one that comes with the juice module? I missed that step and haven't installed it yet

Wow guess I need to get that bad boy installed tomorrow. Still can't hit wide open throttle yet but added boost would be a plus

I've pinched off the lines on both my old HY35, and my HX35. I haven't noticed any downsides, but it sure does make more boost!

It just depends on if whether or not your fueling is enough to overboost. That's why the early trucks didn't have wastegates at all - big turbines + not enough fuel in stock trim, didn't need it.

I put a 2000 ex housing (12cm) on the H1C on my 1st Gen and made a bracket to bolt the WG shut permanently. Makes close to 30psi max with the pump turned up.
