new pyro where to tap exhaust manifold?
I just bought a set of guages and figured I should get some info from the pros. what is the best place to mount the sender unit to the most accurate read from a pyro??
Where the turbo mounts to the manifold there is a center divider inside the manifold. drill and tap in the back half of that section. The back 3 cylinders run the hottest so that is the best place to put it. Is this as clear as mud for you?
that mud is so clear I can see right through it thanks.
Why do 456 run hotter than 123? |
Because those 3 cylinders are further away from the air intake horn, and don't get as much air as 123, as the air has to travel further.
that makes sense, thanks
and coolant has picked up heat before it gets to the rear of the block
Thanks for the diagram DM. Thats exacly what i was hoping someone would post.:tu:
he needs to put grease on the drill bit to catch the shavings
I have used WD-40 with no problems.
I believe he is suggesting to use grease so it will grab all the metal fragments when you drill and tap. Therefore keeping them out of the turbo when you fire it up for the first time.
