have known too many people with broken a-1 studs. just add some arp's and replace them one at a time. you just need to bottom tap the holes and go. It will hold for a while like this. When you have to do a head gasket surface and o-ring the head.

Yeah that's what I think I'm gonna do. So basically I might go to the nadm get together in Hebron Ohio tomorrow, Saturday. I wouldn't mind throwing the super b special on tonight and running the dyno tomorrow so I don't miss the chance... Do you think I'll be ok for a dyno run on stock bolts or should I at least torque the stock bolts to 110 for now or something?

it should handle 3 pulls. it could last a long time that way, but to save yourself some cash on having to remove the whole head because you blew the head gasket don't wait long to add studs

Ok, so update. The turbo is on. Its absolutely sick! But... My egt's are significantly higher than they were before. If I punch it in 3rd gear with the converter locked, it spools decent, and rises very fast to 44 PSI, but within a second or two i'm already at like 1400 on the egt's. It never ran that hot before. Im pleased with how the truck runs, its just soooo hot now... I figured that the turbo would make it run cooler, but it's the opposite. I towed my car trailer last night with my jeep Cherokee mud toy on it, prolly 7k LBS of weight, and i had trouble keeping the egt's under 1100 to 1300 degrees while on very slight inclines. I was having to slow down, kick out of overdrive, and throw the torque locker on with overdrive off to stay in the 1000 range... So now im thinking i may have to do a manifold and an intake horn to spool faster and lower temps... Or am i wasting my money? Maybe water/meth injection? And i still have to do studs...
