Tapping the pump
a scotchlok connector usually. Which is not the best way. The best way to do it is with a stealth plate cover or with good old solder and heatshrink.

oh yes it does make a big difference.
But befre you do this - make sure you have proper guages - including a fuel pressure guage and a better lift pump. Tapping the wire on an otherwise stock truck usually results in a dead VP-44.
What are the mods that youve done to your truck?
