Default tapping pump?

does tapping the pump put any additional strain on the pump even when the chip is turned off. when im not using the chip could i just untapp the pump whenever i dont want to use the chip because untapping it would make it easier on the pump?

The reason to pump is tapped is for your tuner to tell your pump to add timing and fuel. But if your tuner is turned off its not sending anything to the pump. So it shouldn't hurt the pump at all. My VP has had two different tuners on it and no VP problems or failures knock on wood. Hope this helps

On a comp I have no idea. On my juice the higher settings you go the more fuel and timing is added.

Solid is the power level. Flashing is low boost fueling setting.

The Comp does both fueling and timing automatically, there is no adjusting the two separately. Like Lukesdiesel said, the solid bars are for the power levels, and the flashing bars are for the low boost fueling within each level, but once those are set, the fuel/timing is automatically adjusted to that setting.

you're going to need to keep an eye on that fuel pressure gauge, cause if you're around 10 11 on lvl 3, the ddrp is already having issues keeping up with the Edge.....
