Default Leaking Big Line Kit At The Fuel Gauge Fitting. Ideas?

So over the freezing christmas holiday I installed a mechanical LP (fuel boss from Glacier). While I was in there replacing everything already, I also did the big line kit between the fuel filter and IP. Ever since, I've been chasing down fuel leaks. Turns out, the inline fitting between the fuel filter and IP where my fuel pressure gauge ties in has a small leak in it. It doesn't appear to be the fitting itself but rather it looks like its leaking around the hose clamps and then running down the line to the bottom of the fuel filter, about a drop every 10 sec or so on the top of the engine mount. I'm running about 16-17 psi at idle. I've cranked the clamps down as tight as they should be and its still leaking. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

you can over tighten a clamp cut off some of the hose and retighten the clamps

Not overtight yet but it will be if I go any farther. I think I might try and see if there's room to double clamp each side and see if that works. I was thinking that maybe its just too much pressure for a hose clamp but I'm not sure. If I can't double clamp it or if that doesn't work, I'm going to have to do a different inline connection for my fuel pressure gauge to tighten that up. I was just wondering if anybody else out there has run into similar trouble mostly. Whats ironic is that I put the big line kit on there more for the convenience of hooking up my fuel pressure gauge because I didn't like it off the bottom of the fuel filter and now it seems like that's the only part/fitting that I'm having trouble with.

Finally think I got it squared up. Double clamping wasn't an option (not enough room on the fitting and would have been a temporary patch anyhow). So I started looking for a pushlock fitting drilled with a female NPT port (like the one I have now only with 3/8 pushlock fittings). No could find. Vulcan was the closest vendor online with what they are calling a 1/2 fuel pressure T but that wouldn't work because my fuel line is 3/8, not 1/2. I happened to be down the road in Lewiston (45 min away) today and dropped in to visit with the local hydraulic shop since I knew they generally carried pushlock fittings to see if they had it. They didn't and haven't heard of a fitting like that but they hooked me up with this instead. I got a 06 JIC T-fitting with a female NPT port (matched my fitting for my fuel gauge perfectly). That plus two additional 3/8 x 06 JIC swivel pushlocks and I was in business. Its a bit overkill but it worked and I didn't have to drop a bunch of coin on shipping charges and more waiting. Got it all installed this afternoon, leak is now fixed, and hopefully I'm back into the good fuel economy.

I was going to suggest fuel line clamps - they are smooth on the inside. Glad you got it fixed.
