Default Best a-pillar gauge pod?

Is there a certain brand that fits better than others. I am really disappointed in the one I have.

Heres the thing about pods. There all designed to fit over your stock a-pillar. But in many cases I have just taken the stock pillar off and attached the new pod. Only thing is when you dont use your stock pillar you have to attach it to your truck with screws instead of it snapping back into place.

I just did an Edge Pod on my 01 and my stock one was junk. Fit like a glove I just had to use screws.

I'M gonna look at it again tomorrow. I just hate rigging stuff. I will try it both ways and see what I can come up with. My first issue was the speaker grill wouldn't pop into the new pillar so I may have to do some adjusting

What brand of aftermarket pod do you have?

They really work best if you cut a hole for the wiring in your stock pillar and mount the replacement to it. I tried just installing the aftermarket one by itself and it just doesnt work that well. I now have my replacement riveted to my stock one.

If you have the tweeter in the pillar you have to put the pod over the stock pillar regardless though correct??
