If I have 30-35 psi sould i just put a regulator on and turn it down to 15psi or less?any info would be great,thanks

 

yup. at higher pressure you will have lower volume. you want valume for the vp

 

I sure would like to know how higher pressure is lower volume. Considering pressure is the result of resistance to flow. Same resistance with more flow is higher pressure.

Either way, 30-35 is too much. No less than 10 at WOT, and no more than 22 at idle.

 

it depends on the size of fuel line used, if using small fuel line the psi will be higher with the same settings of the pump as with bigger diam fuel line the psi can be lower with the same amount of volume

 

I agree to a certain degree. There will always be the same resistance at the end of the line though. No different than any hydraulic system, the pump, component, and hose/line must all work together. No one needs a 1/2" line for a stock LP pump, and no one should run under 3/8" in any performance situation.

 

so being restricted at the end of the line would cause heat at the pump correct?

 

Any orifice creates heat, in any fluid/gas circuit. In this situation ample fuel in needed to flow through the VP to keep the electronics cool. The majority of us know that, therefor have performance transfer pumps.
